MCC Soccer Hosts High School Camp

Meridian Community College Soccer hosted more than 60 campers at their Boy’s High School Camp this week on the MCC Campus. High school and middle school players from multiple schools spent three days learning new skills and preparing for their upcoming seasons.

The middle school players spent time working on soccer fundamentals while the older players worked on tactics and formations. The players put the drills to use during the afternoon and evening with scrimmages and game situation work.

“We are very excited to have the team from Petal High School here as well as players from many other schools. I’m very excited to see how they progress throughout the week and put the skills we have worked on into use,” said MCC Soccer Coach Sam Wilson.

The MCC Soccer teams return to campus in August to begin preparation for the 2019 season. The Eagles will face Hinds in an exhibition game on August 9th.
