Lady Eagles roll past the Hinds

Meridian - The Lady Eagles improved to 7-12,4-6 on the season with an 18 point victory,77-59, over the visiting Lady Bulldogs of Hinds Community College.


The Lady Eagles took an early lead in the game and finished the first quarter up 6, 17-11. The Lady Bulldogs would battle back behind a strong performance from Amaz Carmichael, who had a team-high 21 points, and both teams would go into halftime tied at 29-29.


The Lady Eagles came out of the break firing on all cylinders, led by Sydney Sims, who had a game-high 26 points. The Lady Eagles would close out the third quarter up 53-47. It would be more of the same in the fourth quarter as the Lady Eagles would pull away with the 18 point victory. Deryona Smith and Kiarri Little would both finish with 11 points for the Lady Eagles.
