MCC Golf Finishes Tied for Second at MACCC Event #2

CHOCTAW, MS - The MCC golf team finished the MACCC event #2 at the Dancing Rabbit Golf Club, tied for second place.

The Eagles found themselves in a three-way tie for third place after day one, and they knew they had some ground to make up. After withdrawing from the MACCC event #1 two weeks ago with an injury, McClung was a little rusty on day one of the tournament, shooting a team-low 81. Luckily for the Eagles, he bounced back with the low round of the tournament, shooting a 67 to finish the tournament in 11th place at 148 (+4). Carson Darby and Wesley Pippin tied for 14th, shooting 76,74 (+6). Dawson Hester shot 77, 80 (+13) and finished tied for 29th, and Colin Russell rounded out the Eagles' scoring, shooting 79,80 (+15), tied for 34th. 

Individual players for MCC were Maddox Atkinson, who shot 78, 82 (+16), and Ezequiel Garcia, who shot 81,83 (+20). 

The Eagles are back on the course October 16-17 at Laurel Country Club for the Jones Invitational, MACCC Event #3.
