No. 15 MCC Runs in Outdoor National Championship

HUTCHINSON, KS - The number 15 ranked MCC men's track and field team competes in the NJCAA Outdoor track National Championship Thursday through Saturday in Hutchinson, Kansas.

The Eagles saw a couple of school records fall this season as they qualified for the national meet. Abdiqadir Mohammed broke the 5,000m with a time of 14.54.24, and he will complete the 5,000m Friday. Norman Mukwada broke the 400m hurdle at 52.23, then Nicquaine Henry broke it again with a time of 51.84, and they will both compete in the 400H Thursday. Agustus Karweh broke the high jump record by jumping 7.1 feet and will jump in that event Friday. 

The outdoor track & field championship action will be aired live on the NJCAA Network. The NJCAA Network is available by visiting njcaa.org/network and on Apple TV, Amazon Fire, and Android TV streaming platforms. The NJCAA Network will give fans access to view multiple live events simultaneously.

2:50 p.m. – 100m Prelim (Keshaun Black, Zhimarlas Johnson) Top 8 Times Qualify

3:30 p.m. – 800m Prelim (Amos Beadle) Top 1 Each Heat & Next 4 Fastest

5:25 p.m. – 4x400m Relay Prelim Top 2 in Each Heat & Next 2 Fastest Qualify
