MCC Competes in Indoor National Championship

Lynchburg, VA - Recently, the MCC track team traveled to Liberty College to compete in the 2020 indoor national championship. The Eagles came away with a 15th place finish.

Vincent Taylor finished 4th in the men's triple jump with a mark of 14.86 (48'9").

Grover Winston captured a 4th place finish in the men's 400m event with a time of 47.54.

The men's 4x800m relay team of Jalen McCoy, Tony Mack, Joshua Noel, and Patrick Spurgeon finished 5th.

Head Coach Chip Gayden said, "I was pleased with how we performed considering how young we are and struggling to have consistent training because of all the weather the past two months."
"I was very proud of how our 4x8, Grover and Vincent performed. I believe their performances will give them a huge amount of confidence going forward," added Gayden.

The conclusion of the Indoor Nationals will wrap up the NJCAA track and field season for 2020.
